Mildred Hawkins Coughlin, 70, of Culpeper died Saturday, Nov. 10 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mrs. Coughlin was born April 14, 1931 in Rappahannock County to the late Milton Mortimore Hawkins and the late Lucille Hawkins Corbin.
Mrs. Coughlin was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church and a long time member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #2524. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, crocheting and bingo.
Survivors include one brother, Atha B. Hawkins and his wife, Joan of Chicago, 111. and two sisters, Bessie E. Norman and her husband, Daniel of Woodville and Hazel L. Veltoven of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include two aunts, Lucy Creel of Culpeper and Bessie Brown of Front Royal; 12 nieces and nephews; two special friends, Mary Sue and Robert Cooke of Culpeper and a host of other family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Browning L. Coughlin; her eldest sister, Katherine “Kitty” Bayne and her husband, Charles Franklin Bayne.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday,
