that anything goes as long as you make money at it? What’s next? Are the teachers going to have their own nude calendar? How about the School Board members? (There’s one member we’re pretty certain would support that idea.) Or, what about an all girl student wet tshirt contest? Well, why not? Isn’t it for a “good cause?” We’re making money aren’t we? No!

We believe this type of activity, selling a nude calendar to support the school system is ill-conceived and totally asinine!

We believe, it sends the wrong message; loud and clear. We ask, if all of these men who were so “brave” to bare their assets (pun intended), why weren’t they as eager to bare their wallets?

We would dare say that two-thirds to three-quarters of the men that disrobed could write a check for $10,000 or more a piece and not even sneeze to do it.

We really hope and trust that Mr. Bob Chappell and the remaining responsible School Board members, will stick with their first inclination to do the right thing, and not accept the money.

There are enough dedicated people in Rappahannock and those who live in and out of the area who are willing to tackle fund-raising projects that our children can say they are proud of.
