Thanksgiving

Service to be

held on Nov. 27

The Flint Hill Baptist Church and the Flint Hill Methodist Church will be celebrating Thanksgiving again this year at the annual Community Thanksgiving Service at the Sperryville United Methodist Church on Nov. 27 at 11 a m.

Christopher Lee, son of Bryant and Robin Lee; Courtney Welch, daughter of Roger and Geneva Welch; and Elaine Hix, wife of Kenneth Hix, celebrate their birthdays this week. Happy Birthday to the three of you.

Joanne and David Hilty have just returned from a vacation in Florida. Hope you enjoyed it.

Bill Welch returned Friday from the 180th annual meeting of the Baptist General Association of Virginia, a three day conference in Richmond, Va.

Elizabeth Welch attended a bonfire given for the seventh grade students at Rappahannock County Elementary School by her seventh grade teacher Holly Massie, wife of Tom Massie at their home. The elementary school’s new principal, David Covington and his lovely wife Millie were there also. It was a beautiful evening and fun was had by all and the chili was great. Thank you Mr. artd Mrs. Tom Massie and their children, Emily and John.

My favorite saying for the week is, “What were you thinking?”

If you, your family, your church, business, club or organization have any news to share with the Flint Hill community and surrounding communities give me a ring-a-ling.
