Vegetables for
plant sale
Spring has arrived and the upper and lower school gardening classes have started many variety of vegetable seedlings, which they will sell at the Waterpenny Farm plant sale on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds will be used to buy an animal from the international charity Heifer International. The gardening classes are also replanting a large vegetable and herb garden beyond the playground.
Auction to be
held April 12
All classes are gearing up for Hearthstone’s annual auction, to be held on Saturday, April 12 at 4 p.m. Each class will be contributing a themed gift basket to the auction: Nursery/kindergarten: “For the Gardener.”
2nd-4th grades: “An EcoFriendly Basket,” filled with household products for saving energy and living in harmony with the earth.
High school: “Summer Comforts,” featuring natural insect repellent, sunscreen, lip balms, herbal teas, soaps and
