In his 25th year as an outdoor writer/photographer, Bruce Ingram has written nearly 1,900 magazine articles and has sold over 2,200 photos to magazines. For over 10 years, he covered Virginia and West Virginia for Outdoor Life. He regularly writes for such magazines as Bassmaster, Turkey Call, Virginia Wildlife, West Virginia Game and Fish, Virginia Game and Fish, Wonderful West Virginia, Whitetail Times, and many others. Ingram has written four books on river smallmouth fishing: The James River Guide, The New River Guide, The Shenandoah/Rappahannock Rivers Guide, and his latest book, Fly and Spin Fishing for River Smallmouths.
The Outdoor Writers Association of Americiin has given Ingram four writing awards for excellence. Writing primarily on fishing iind hunting, Ingram also covers canoeihg, birding, outdoor photography and conservation issues. With his writing income, Ingram has purchased 486 acres of land and placed 392 acres of that land under conservation ease
