the Virginia Press Association received 4,704 entries from 147 of its members throughout the state. The entries were judged by the New Jersey Press Association in Trenton.
I attended this year’s event which was held in Roanoke the weekend of ' March 14-15. Certainly the highlight was when our sister paper, The Fauquier Times Democrat in Warrenton, took home Sweepstakes for its division. Likewise, they also won two Best in Shows.
