Each day holds somethin# different for caregivers of physically or mentally challenged adults. Simple tasks such as washing dishes or folding laundry become increasingly hard to manage when faced with the responsibility of caring for another.
Meanwhile, adults who must depend on a loved one far support often feel they are a burden, holding that person bade from work or personal life.
Recognizing the needs of these adults and their caregivers, Aging Tbgether’s DayBreak Center wants to help. As a daycare center for adults ages 18 and older. Day Break provides daily support to caregivers while meeting the needs of their loved ones.
“We are letting families know that you con still be a caregiver, still have your life and your loved one living at home, while knowing that they're at a safe place and that everybody is coming home at the end of the day," said DayBreak Manager Andrea Langston. “It’s a joyftil thing."
Opened in August 2007, the DayBreak center is located on Eggbomsville Road in Culpeper, but serves the five county region of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, and Orange.
