2nd grader recognized
in national writing
competition
Two local representatives from Coldwell Banker visited Wakefield Country Day School (WCDS) this month to recognize second grader Douglas Griffin for his winning entry in their national contest on how a “house is a home.” Griffin participated in the third annual “My Home: The American Dream” contest sponsored by Coldwell Banker and Scholastic, in which he described how his home is a “special place to share dreams and build family memories that will last a lifetime.” The school received a check for $100, which Douglas requested be applied - to purchasing “funny books” for the library.
Key Club helps
usher in spring
Members of the Key Club greeted the new season with a litter clean-up around the campus and along Hittles Mill Road and Route 522. Key Club has worked hard all year to support service projects for the school and for the community, helping to implement an important component of the school’s mission.
