Mrs. Curtis Publishes
New “Publicity” Volume
* Mrs.' Alice Partlow Curtis, the daughter of Judge Ira J. Partlow of West Virginia, is the author of a new publication entitled “Is Your Publicity Showing?” Mrs. Curtis’s book is written primarily for the amateur, or volunteer, publicity chairman—the one who is appointed because “she writes so well”—and it also can serve as a, handbook for the embryo professional.
Mrs. Curtis is well-qualified to write what amounts to 'a textbook on publicity. She has had wide experience in handling publicity for the Michigan Blue Cross Plan, a division of the American Cancer Society, and the Michigan Council on Community Nursing. She has worked on the Welch (W. Va.)- News; she attended Randolph • Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, and Marshall college, Huntington, West Va., and edited the The West Virginia Review. She has lived in Detroit since 1941.
Mrs. Curtis is the niece of Mrs. D. C. Updike and Mrs. Rosa ‘Bishop of Washington, and Mrs. <B. R. Cannon of Castleton.
