County Men To
Organize Scout Unit
All boys between the ages of 8 and'18 will have the oportunity very shortly to become either Cubs, Scouts or Explorer ScO'Uts in a county wide unit.
The following, men have been - selected to serve as a temporary committee to study in detail the steps necessary in completing the organization of this county unit: Rev. A. Paul Thompson, Dan Link, Rev. Norman Flythe, Allen Johnson, Charles Wood, Lewis Turner, H. B. Winfrey, E. M. Jones, Rev. Wm. G. Pendleton, Rev. M. E. Sliger, George Davis ' and*William Lyne.
On Wednesday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m. the group of men mentioned will meet in the County Agent’s office to lay down plans necessary to get the county unit •underway. The unit will be organized in such a way that small groups of boys will meet under the leadership of an adult advisor once a week in their own neighborhood at which time they will work on different Scouting skills. Once a month each of these Scout groups will assemble in one mass meeting for an evening of fun, fellowship, - Scouting, skills and presentation of awards. The Scouts will bring their brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers along with them for the evening.__
