the CROP pk ogram for 1 hannock county will mottto # ’ close next Friday, January 18.
At a meeting of district chairmen and canvassers at the Firehouse in Washington yesterday afternoon, January 4, Rev. Ashfey Graves of Madison discussed the plans for the CROP program in the county. The goal of ond carload of corn (about 1200 bushels) has been set and the canvassers for the county program are starting work immediately by contacting people for support of the program.
To complete the program by January 13 will need everyone'* ■ co-operation.'

A sale will be held Saturday, January 14, at the Firehouse, of all commodities collected other than corn. This will be an auction, and details of the sale wiB be announced next week.
