Editorial
Vacations are over and it’s time we all have to settle down to work again. That will be a hard job, after a week of getting up at 9 a.m. instead of 6:30 and going to bed in the ‘‘wee sma” hours instead of 9 p.m., but we can’t loaf all the time. Now we can look forward to the summer vacation, but we have to face the fact that we are going into a new year with all the opportunities that are offered and we must carry on in the best American tradition.
Let us all ask the Lord to help us hold our heads up that we may observe the higher things. This nev^e-year brings hope and new opportunities for all.
The biggest tasks before us now are the mid-year examinations.
We are all hoping that the teachers had a very nice Christmas and New Year’s vacation.
When time comes for o-ur summer vacation, the school will be left with joyous shouting and when September 1 rolls around again we will start back to school with the same joyous shouting. Girls and boys will collect in the hall and tell of their latest conquests and where they went visiting and the adventures they had ■during the summer, but now we are all ready to get to work and pass these mid - year exams.— A.J.D.
