Two Fire Alarms
Answered Last Week
The Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Company was called out on Friday at 2 p.m. to the farm of Joe W. Keyser in Harris Hollow, to extinguish a broom sedge fire which had gotten out of control, the fire was brought under control before it spread to the buildings on the farm.
Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., the fire company was called -to the residence of a colored family by the name of Phillips at Amissville, to extinguish a brush fire which was thought to have started from a cigarette which Borne one passing by carelessly threw over into the field. No damage resulted.

Working On Play ^
The Flint Hill players are hard at work rehearsing three nights each week preparing for the play “The Campbells are Coming.’’ This is a royalty play of Hill Billy Farce, sponsored by the Flint Hill P.-T. A. It will be held at the Flint Hill School Friday and Saturday nights, March 24 and 26. Watch next week’s paper for the list of the cast, then you will know that it has to be good.
Pond Being Constructed
At ‘Clover Hill'
Work on the construction of a pond at the farm of J. Hill O’Bannon, “Clover Hill’’ near Woodville, was started last week.
L. B. Henretty of tne Soil Conservation Service of Culpeper is supervising the construction of the pend, which when completed will cover an acre ef ground. The pend win be stocked with fish.
