*Judge Roy Bean' To Be
Displayed At Jr. Show
“Judge Roy Bean,’’ possibly the most pampered steer in existence, will arrive by private plane, disembark by a golden ramp, and live in a golden stall for a few days’ visit in Virginia in^April.
Judge Bean, the 1943 grand champion steer of the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago, will be on display at three of the spring series of 4H'—FFA baby tjeef shows and sales.
The three display dates are: April 25 in Portsmouth; April 27 in Staunton; and April 27 in Danville.
Judge Bean was bought by Dearborn Motors Corporation for 113,800.
D. E. Brower, 4-H livestock specialist at VPI, also announces the following dates for 4-H—FFA baby beef shows and sales not previously scheduled:
April 20 at (Fredericksburg, for King George, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and Essex counties.
April 20 at Front Royal for Page county.
April 26, Charlottesville, for Albemarle, Greene; Madison, Orange, Louisa, and Rappahannock counties.
May 20 at Suffolk for Isle of Wight and Nansemond counties.
