that this is the special brand of thinking shared by many in our county. Intelligent, experienced, outside viewpoints have assured us that no school in the county is adequate to meet the best needs of a high school. Any arrangement along this line, therefore, must be viewed as a temporary one. But in order to offer a better program now instead of sacrificing our present high school pupils until the best solution can be worked out for future high school pupils, can we not be big enough and unselfish enough to support any plan that would offer the greatest benefit to the greatest number at the least possible cost? Any other considerations seem to be fairly insignificant at the present time.
It would seem that the establishment of the best high school site, under existing conditions of inadequate funds and/or educational advantages, should be divorced from the opinion that Washington automatically must be the place, because of its sacred position as the county seat.
