A message from the head of their Church will be heard as a part of the Sunday morning service, March 12, by the congregations of most of the nearly 8,000 parishes and missions of the Episcopal Church. The Rt. Reverend Henry Knox Sherrill, Presiding Bishop will speak over one of the largest radio networks ever arranged, and he will be heard by means of radio' receiving sets installed in the churches. Bishop Sherrill’s address will be an appeal to Episcopal Church members to support a largely increased program of work in missions in this country and overseas, and in Education and Social Relations. The address is timed for exactly 11:30, Sunday morning, March 12.
The above address by Bishop Sherill will be heard over radio at Trinity Episcopal church next Sunday at the eleven o’clock service. The National Episcopal Church is urging every member to be present. The public is also invited. There will also be transcribed sacred music. You will enjoy this service.

Representatives of Rappahannock’s 4-H clubs spoke yesterday at 12:45 over WCVA, Culpeper, in the farm and home program recognizing National 4-H Club Week. Those, with County Agtent W. H. Lyne, who took part on the radio program were; Bobby Atkins, son of Hugh Atkins; Newbill Miller, Dick Miller’s boy; Kelly Updike, son of John Updike; Junior Atkins, son of Nelson Atkins; Betty Lou Rutherford, daughter of Harry Rutherford; Betty Snead, Dr. Smead’s daughter; and Marjorie Dodson, Archie Dodson’s daughter..
Will Open Filling Station
Fresh paint is going on the Amoco filling station at Washington, formerly the Lee Highway Garage, to have this business re-opened March 15, according to a statement made yesterday afternoon.
The business is to be opened by Ernest Dupree, a resident of Florida for the past year. Mr. Dupree, formerly an engineer with the construction of a powder plant near Farmville, was proprietor of the Aldie Fruit Stand until moving to Florida about a year ago. Whether Mr. and Mrs. Dupree and their two young daughters will live in the community is not known at this time.
Three Scout Patrol*
Organized For County
Three Boy Scout patrols of the Rappahannock Boy Scout Troop have been organized in the county. Due to the problems of transportation, it was decided to have troops locjated at Sperryville, with Rev. A. Paul Thompson as director; Gerald Hicks and D. C. Link as directors at Washington; and Paul L. Miller, C. B. Wood, and Rev. Norman J. Flythe as leaders at Flint Hill.
