Mrs. Henry Huff and John Huff, Jr., spent Friday in Charlottesville.

Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. Jr., spent the week end with Mlrs. Aylor’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Milford Edwards in Lynchburg.

Mrs. Mary Ann 'Clovir of Washington, D. C.p was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Manuel and their children Wallace and Harriet of Browntown. were Sunday dinner eruests of Mrs. Manuel’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schaefer.

Robert W. Brown, proprietor of the Highway Garage, met with a very painful accident while working on an. automobile last Friday, resulting in the loss of two fingers. Mr. Brown is making satisfactory progress at his home.

Mrs. Lucy Hawiklns and her son Gordon Hawkins of Washington. D. 0., were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce at Jackson Hill.

Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick visited Capt. and Mrs. F. L. Gallen at Arlington, and Mr. ^ind Mrs. William M. Warwick at Silver Springs, Md., on Sunday.

Mrs. Helen Jenkins and children were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Buckley.

Miss Margaret Atkins, who underwent a • major operation at University Hospital two weeks ago, is visited each day by members of her family and friends, giving very satisfactory reports of her recovery.

Sunday dinner guests of .Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, were J. B. Johnson. Jr., of Strasburg; and Fred Schaefer and his two little daughters, Edna Yates and Susan. Other guests of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Henson and their son Richard Henson of Front Royal.
