MRS. THORNTON HOSTESS TO MISSIONARY CIRCLE

The Susan Wood Missionary Circle met on Wednesday evening, May 10 at the home of Mrs. P. L. Thornton. Mrs. J. H. Aylor was program leader for the month, and the topic was '‘Presses at .Work for God,” with Mrs. Thorntpn, Mrs. W. H. Lyne, and Mrs. Jesse Clater taking part on the program. After the meeting refreshments were served by the hostess.

The Woman’s "Society of Christian Service met in the Methodist church, of Bperryville Wednesday evening with the president, Mrs. Nina Brown presiding. The scripture lesson was taken from Cor. 1-13; 4-8 verses, after which the topic for the month ^Christianizing Our ‘Romes” was presented in a round Sable discuaaion with eaea ■ member of the group taking part.
