To Garden Club
Mrs. L. L_ Voigt vu hostess to the Flint Hill Garden club at her home Wednesday, May 10.

Exhibits consisted of May baskets. Mrs. R. L. Massie received the highest score on her arrangement of white candytuft and spiraea, pink dogwood and blue phlox. Mrs. E. R. Browning and Mrs. J. P. Cook tied for second place.
Mrs. James M. Settle, chairman of the clean-up committee, gave a report on the success of the campaign held in April. She reported that the Boy Scout troop of Flint Hill assisted greatly in the work by hauling away trash.

Sheriff Appointment
May Be Made Today
Circuit court will be in session today, with Judge f. R. H. Alexander present, and there is a possibility that the appointment of a sheriff will be made to fill the mnexpired term of Sheriff James M. Lillard, who died Sunday.
It is reported that candidates include the deputy sheriff, Guy Burke, 1. W. Critzer, A. H. Keyser, and A. J. Dodson,

The contributions for the various districts of the county in the cancer drive are as follows:
