Rural Ministers to Mott

The 21st Summer School for Rural Ministers will be held »t VPI {uly 10 to 14, R. L. Hummel, Extension rural sociologist at the college, announces.
The school is sponsored by VPI, and by the Rural Church Department of the Virginia Council of Churches, of which Hummel is head.
To appear ^ach morning oa the program are Professor J. P. (Schmidt, rural sociologist at Ohio State University, and Dr. Paul R. Lynn, of Harvard Seminary.
Scheduled to speak Thursday evening, July 18, is Minor C. Miller, Richmond, executive secretary of the Virginia Council of Churches. Hummell is scheduled to speak on Wednesday evening. Other speakers will be announced later.
Another feature of the School will be discussions of the programs of leading rural churches in Virginia. Pastors of churches to be discussed are: Rev. A. B. Berry, Charles City; Rev. Marshall, Walker, Appamattox; Rev. W. G. Forbes, Dundas; and Rev. Murray Wagner, Weyer’s Cave.
Tours, informal conferences and recreation are being planned for afternoon sessions. ““
Hummel said the school is the oldest of its kind at any landgrant college. Scholarships are made available by all leading ^denominations, Granges, R u r iia a clubs, and banks.
