SpenyvillelO—1 By Jo Ellon Worth The Panthers were overwhelmingly victorious in a baseball game with Sperryville High Tuesday. Tob Scroggins pitched a good game through to the end. The score was 10—1. Mr. Link, coach of the basketball team, awarded basketball letters to those people who had participated in that sport the past season, for the first time. The certificate of meritorious award was given to those people who had been honored before.
Operetta By Glee Club On Friday, May 19, at 1:30 the Washington High School Glee Club will present "The Minister’s Aunt,” an operetta by Elsie Yale. We feel that this is our most important presentation of the year. Those having piajor roles are: Minister—Charles Scroggins. Aunt Adeline—Gladys Reid. Ruth—Jo Ellen Worth. Irene—Lois Beverly Walters.
