Is making the pictures and according to experts who have seen short sectional previews, the films promise to have some of the finest wildlife sequences ever produced in this country.
In making the quail picture, Mr. Pryer secured the services of some of Virginia’s finest sportsmen and outstanding dog owners; The prise winning "Prince Tornado” and "Lightbulb” are among the top canine performers in the film and many excellent scenes of dogs working, pointing, and retrieving are included.
The trout picture should prove of interest to Virginia’s thousands of sports fishermen, since it carries the story of the trout all the way from the egg in the hatchery to the fishes’ ultimate destination in one of Virginia’s mountain streams. Stocking operations are weir covered and some fine fishing scenes are also included in the film.
Once the films have been completed and extra copies made, they will be added to the Commission’s film library and made available to sportsmen’s groups, civic organizations, clubs, etc., for showing.
Because of the steadily increasing popularity of this phase of the Commission’s Education program, bookings will have to be made well in advance in order to obtain the desired films.
