Dearing Will Probated
The will of the late Rev. W. Grimsley Dearing, as const rued by Judge J. R. H. Alexander Toes* day, names the Masonic Children's Home, the Southern Baptist Seminary" in Louisville, Ky., and- deserving boys and girls of Virginia as beneficiaries of thp $175,000 estate.
Provision of the bill are: $15,000 for the Masonic Children's Home, Richmond; $5,000 for the Southern Baptist Seminary; and a -trust fund at approximately $56,. 000 for loans to deserving Virginia boys and gilrs for college educations.
Rev. Dearing, a retired Baptist minister, was one of four persons killed in 1948 in an automobile accident at Chester Gap.
P. W. Anderson, president of the Marshal] National Bank and Trust Company, trustee for the college fund, expressed the hope that the first loans could be made this fall.
MRS. R. L. MASSIE IS HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB THURSDAY
Mrs. R. L. Massie entertained the bridge club Thursday evening at her home in Flint Hill. Mrs. L. J. Turner won the high score prize; Mrs. B. M. Miller, the traveling; Mrs. Paul L. Miller, the consolation; and the bingo prize was received by Mrs. C. T. Bruce. Others playing were Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Miss Minnie Williams, Mrs. Louemma Moffett, and Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh.
