Garden Club Begins Work
On Road Beautification
Rappahannock Garden club is beginning work on a program of roadside beautification in the Sperryville community, ih co-operation with the American Legion program along the same lines.
At present the beautification program is combined with a cleanup program and fence-painting is the order of the day. A freshly painted fence appears at Emmanuel Episcopal church and other fences will have a brightened look in the near future.
This program of clean-up and beautification“was adopted by the garden club after discussion of the necessity. The natural beauty of the county justifies the exhibition of pride on the part of citizens in keeping the roadsides clean and attractive.
