Kilby—Zeigler
The wedding of Irvin Reynolds Kilby, son of Mrs. W. B. Kilby and the late Mr. Kilby of Woodville, and Miss Lucia Blake Ziegler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Ziegler of Staunton, was solemnized Saturday, June 17, at 4 o’clock at St. John's Methodist church, Edinburg.
The church was decorated iwith evergreens, gladioli, ^chrysanthemums, and candelabra. The traditional wedding marches were played and selections of organ music preceded the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of chiffon over white aatin, trimmed with a, lace bertha, and she ' carried a bouquet of White orchids and white roses.
The maid-of-honor and bridesmaids were friends and School- * mates of the bride. Betty Kay Kilby, niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girl. - Dr. Walter Kilby of Baltimore was best man for his brother. Ushers were Lewis Tyus of Richmond, Jack Yowell, and Maury Kilby of Wybheville.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. - *
After a northern wedding, trip, Mr. and Mrs. Kilby will make their home in the Snead apartment in Sperryville.
Mrs. Kilby is a graduate ’ of * Madison college and Ohio State University, and she was on the ’ dietary staff of University of Virginia hospital. ]
Mr. Kilby served with the armed forces in the Pacific theatre of l operations; He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Ohio State University. He is now , kssociated< with, the Blue , Ridge Fruit Growers Co-operative. .
