The first ribbon was won by Vons Patrick of Ravensworth, a puppy of the same'litter, owned by E. T. Whitworth, of Front Royal, and sired by Mr. Whitworth’s dog, Von of Ravensworth. The daip, Lady Bayne, is owned by Capt. Warwick. •
The 18-month-old female pointer, Battle Run Trixie, was the winner of a blue ribbon, Rosette, and Gold Trophy, which was a pointer engraved with name and date. It was presented by the mayor of Front Royal to Capt Warwick.
Capt. Warwick’s dogs have been entered in the Berryv'ille dog show to be held Monday, September 4.

A^ply for Charter
Wendell R. Barney, chairman of the council organization and extension committee of the Shenandoah area council, Boy Scouts of America, today announced that Troop 65, sponsored by the Reynolds Memorial Baptist church in Sperryville has made application for Charter. The ReV,' A. Paul Thompson is scoutmaster of the new troop and C. E. Johnson, Jr., is chairman of the troop committee. James Atkins is institutional representative. Other members of the committee are W.‘ H. Lyne and E. W. Gore. , *
Six boys are charter members of the troop: Francis Bruce, Robert C. Clater, Jr., Donald Gore, , Ned Johnson IH,. Charles W. Leake, and Sidwell Thompson.
There are now three Boy Scout troops in Rappahannock county: one in Washington,, one in Flint Hill; and the new troop in Sperryville.
