Technicians of the Culpeper Soil Conservation district attended a two day drainage conference held in Madison August 24 and 25. J Types of drainage ditches, equipment and means of construction were discussed by engineers familiar with the latest developments 'in this field. Soil scientists discussed drainage possibilities on the various soil types found in the district. *
A field trip was held in the afternoon where the technicians observed drainage ditches under construction and the results of proper drainage systems installed two years ago. It was clearly demonstrated under actual field conditions that the various soil types present different drainage problems.
