So off we went armed with one paper cop and two beer cans found by the road. To make a long story short, the (censored) spring was dry, and whereas ,we had then - merely strolled down the hill, we now had to struggle up the mountain and face that poor motor with defeat ip our eyes and no water in the beer cans. However, the motor cooled off, and we got back to camp in time for supper. Camp activities officially came to a close Friday night when the campers assembled around the swimming pool with candles in their hands and softly sang “taps.” But for us in Cabin 2 there was to be no “taps,** for we had sighted a mouse ... I was sleeping in the room with ‘ the girls that night (a camper slightly under the weather had taken over my bed in the Counselor’s room) when I heard Sollenberger and Gentry threatening, “Get out of here or . . .** Thinking the week had proved : too strenuous and they had skipped their trolley, I yelled in and inquired as to the identity of the .intruder.
