A. meeting was called at the Warren County Courthouse in Front Royal Monday, August 28, to consider"the establishment of a District Home for the Aged in the northwestern section of the State. The meeting was originated by the board of Supervisors of Rockingham county, who felt the surrounding counties and the cities of Harrisonburg and Win* cheater would be interested in hearing a report of a survey of the situation made by the State Department of Welfare and Institutions and discussing the selection • of a site for the proposed Home. Representatives from the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Madison, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren and the cities of Harrisonburg and Winchester were present. Greene county was asked to send a delegate, but no one appeared frbm that county. The Rappahannock county delegation consisted of Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., chairman of the Welfare Board, Mr. A. C. Latham, chairman of the Board of Supervisors, and Mrs. Elizabeth Buntin, Welfare Superintendent. * . For those who may be particularly interested in the establishment of a District Home in this section of the State, a more detailed account of the meeting held in Front Royal is given below. It will be noted that about a year ago Mr. Arthur W. James and Mr, John L.
