not cost that much to remodel. The alternative to remodel already; existing building would Ibe to construct a new one. This would cost from 1200,000 to f250,000. It was felt that if the portion of the Remount Station needed for the Home could be leased or bought at a reasonable price, it would be the only sensible solution to the problem. - From information obtained from the welfare departments in each of the counties, it was estimated there was a need for approximately 130 beds jn the proposed home. Thirty of the prospective patients are bedridden, the rest can get about and to meals. It should be noted that district homes provide care for' colored as well as white patients.
