MAYOR-ELECT DAVIS SPEAKS IN WASHINGTON, D. C.
Mrs. Dorothy Davis, mayor-elect, spoke at the regional meeting of the National Association of Women Lawyers, held at the DuPont Plasa, Washington, D.C.. Saturday, August 26. Mrs. Davis’ subject was the situation in Washington, and the aims of the all-woman council and mayor.
EMMANUEL AUXILIARY MET WEDNESDAY
The Auxiliary to Emmanuel church met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. William Williamson. After the meeting a social hour was enjoyed by the members, at which time the hostess, assisted by her daughter, Miss Flossie Williamson, served delicious refreshments.
