Winfrey, Mrs. Alice McCracken, of Leesburg; Miss Bessie Rust, Jock Brown, and Mrs. C. H. H. Branch. High score was awarded to Mrs. Winfrey, traveling prize to Mrs. Branch. :■ -
ADDISON SWINDLER MADE CORPORAL RECENTLY
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler have been notified that their son Addison Lee Swindler, Jr., has been made a corporal.
Corporal Swindler is now stationed at Rapid City, South Dakota. He has been in the service for about 18 months.
MR. AND MRS R. E. WOOD € ENTERTAIN AT BRIDGE
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood entained at bridge Monday evening. High score prize was awarded Mrs. Holmes Hall and the consolation prize to Miss Louise M. O’B&nnon. Other guests included Miss Eliza-' beth Hust, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. C. H. rf. Branch, and Sirs. Carroll Menefee.
MOVING TO NEW LOCATION
The firm of. J. A. Swan, Jr., A Co., of Culpeper, is moving to their new location on the corner of East wad Culpeper striata on October 1. At ’present thwbosi* ness is in the process of getting the new quarters renovated and moving the machinery parts. _
