Communist infiltration is clover —and not always traceable. Unfortunately, for instance, we were unable, until it was too late, to trace the communist Fuchs who confessed that he betrayed our atom bomb secret to Russia and expedited her atomic production schedule by years. He was sent, here by England which vouched for his loyalty. Fuchs was tried in England for treason but he could die a thousand deaths and never repay the injury he has done free nations by his traitorous act.

In simple language we are .outnumbered and defeated in Korea to the extent that death or capture is inevitable unless retreat and evacation is possible.
I repeat, we cannot send reinforcements from Japan or from this country and reinforcements are not forthcoming from our United Nations members.
