Those who have met Mr. William Haaker, the director of the State symphony, and his wife, have been favorably impressed by them and would welcome- them as assets to the county. Mr. Haaker ranks high in professional music circles. He was trained at the famous Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. He has established and operated a music center in the Ozarks of Arkansas, which has received much favorable comment. Folk music and symphonies pleasing to the average ear are featured by Mr. Haaker.
KIT PRICE NOW STATIONED AT FORT MEYER
Kit Price, son of Mrs. J. W. Price, who has been stationed at Fort Sill, Okla., has been transferred to Fort Meyer. Corporal Price will report for duty Thursday but hopes to have a pass to spend Christmas with his mother at “The Maples.” John Potts of Texas is also visiting at (“The Maples” with CpL Price.
