To Jenkins Hollow
(Misses Doris and Donna Bob* arts of Washington, D.C., have just purchased from S. E. Hening the upper twenty acres of the farm recently bought by Mr. Hening from iGeorge 'Jenkins. The young ladies are artists and plan to landscape and beautify the property and erect a log cabin on it for week ends and vacations. The attractive location with its mountain and valley views caught their eye and they immediately began to plan their improvements which include -a new drive-in, a water system, etc. One of the sis* ten is with Woodward ft Loth* rop and the other works for the Government in Washington.
COMMUNITY TREE PROGRAM
Washington Community Christmas Tree Program will be held Saturday night on the corner of -Main and Middle Streets, when the large, lighted tree has been in place for several days.
Mayor Dorothy C^ Davis wilt" give the welcoming speeeh—dnd Santqi will be on hand to have a gift for the children present. The program will begin with the ringing of the church bells of the town and the four churches of the town will sing carols.
