Club Gives Shower

For Mrs. Smoot

On Friday evening a most delightful shower was given Mrs. Arthur Smoot by the Washington Home Demonstration Clubs. Mrs. Smoot’s home was completely destroyed by fire several weeks ago.

Mrs. Smoot wishes to express her appreciation to all who participated.

DECORATION SUGGESTION

For your centerpiece foT Christmas, use a flat-bottomed potato as a base to keep the greens fresh longer, and it makes a very attractive decoration. Place the potato in the bottom of a container, stick boxwood, holly, or whatever greens you prefer, into the potato, leaving enough space to place a big white candle in one end. A large red bow will decorate the candle. You may also use silver or gold pine cones in this arrangement.
