Have Record Sales
Reports from the committees of Mt. Lebanon and Woodville churches in charge of'the sales of “Rare- Rappahannock Recipes” show that over 650 copies of thecook book have already been sold.
Sales have been far more rapid than anticipated, though it was known that the cook book had an enviable reputation and many people wanted new copies to replace old, worn-out books.
With sales rapid just before | the Christmas season, many folks hays used the cook books as a' Christmas gift. The ladies of the committees are beginning to wonder if there will be enough to answer all the calk, for the sale of the first 650 went, in such a short time.
There are a few copies left at the Rappahannock News office, and the ladies of the two churches have the other remaining copies distributed about for sale.
Proceeds from the sale of these cook books will be used to help defray expenses in the building of the building of the new home at Wood* ilie for the pastor of the ! Woodville and Mt. Lebanon Bap1 tist churches. Tim new pastorium is nearly complete. It is a tyrick bungalow, located in Woodville, set high on the north aide of the . highway, and is very attractive in appearance.
The exact number of copies sold is not available at this time, but the report Monday afternoon, on all reports turned in at that time* showed the number sold tp.be well over the 660' mark. Only 1000 copiea were printed. ‘ ,
