Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Brown of Winchester, were visitors Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller at “Maple Springs” on their way to Woodberry Forest, where their son Harold Brown, Jr., is a student. Harold, Jr., has recently been elected Senior Prefex of the school.

Mr. Winfrey was asked to advise us as to some of the present needs of the school. He said that they needed a new curtain for the stage—the cbst of this will be from $600.00 to $800.00. Also there is an outdoor drinking fountain at the school which needs to be installed.
Mr. Johnson then introduced Mr. Hening from Sperryville who talked to us about Mr. Haaker, director of the Virginia Symphony
were very much taken with Rappahannock county* and would like to settle here next summer and give about three concerts. Their idea is to develop a music center in Rappahannock county on •-.)[ modest scale. This would not be a money-making proposition. To finance this they would call on the music lovers to subscribe a nominal sum. They hope to do the same thing for music here that the Barter Players did for the •tags in Abingdon. Mr. Hening wanted to know if our organization was interested in the project. ,.
Mrs. Jack Bruce made a motion that this organization go on record as indorsing the project as outlined by Mr. Hening, this motion was seconded and approved ^ by the organisation. „
