Mr. Johnson then gave us a brief report of what he had found out by talkng to Senator Robert Button, member of the State Board of Education and Mr. How* ard, Superintendent of Public Instruction. The gentlemen said that the State has certain regulations for public buildings, such as certain sanitary requirements, lighting and ceiling heights, but that a school building could be made as plain at the people wanted it.
We will) be eligible for the Battle Fund if a building plan for the next four years is submitted to Richmond by January 1, 1951.
Submitting these plans does not necessarily mean that we must build, but it will make us eligible for our put of the Battle Fund. - Mrs. C. E. Johnson made'-H* motion the School Board of Rappahannock County be requested to submit a building plan for Rappahannock County by the first of of the year, applying for Rappahannock’s share in the Battle Found. This motion was seconded and passed by the organization.
The acting secretary was asked to siibmit this to the School Board before their meeting Wednesday night.
