Mrs. William G. Wood returned last week from a visit with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clopton in Baltimore.

Dinner guests of Dr. C. E. Johnson on Tuesday were Mrs. W. M. Fletcher, Mrs. J. H. Fletcher, Mrs. J. Walton Wood, Mrs. John A. Browning, W. J. Smith, and Miss Virginia Fletcher.

Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. C. J. Miller, Mrs. J. W. Price and Mrs. Arthur Miller attended the movies in Front Royal Monday.

Mrs. Tate Green, of Roanoke is visiting at “Clover Hill’’ home of J. Hill O’Bannon.

John G. Racer, age 67, died at his home near Smedley April 6. he is survived by his widow ahd the following children: William Henry Racer, Hugh Jack Racer, John Robert Racer of this county and a daughter Mrs. Harvey Fincham of Berryville.
