The first quarterly meeting of the charge was held at the Methodist church at Amiesville last Tuesday. Rev. Hughes, the new superintendent, of Charlottesville, preached in the morning. A business meeting was • conducted in the afternoon.
Amos Hawkins, student at U. of Richmond arrived on Tuesday to spend the Christmas holidays with his mother Mrs. Ertha Hawkins.

The Flint HiU P.-T. A. met Thursday night, December 14, to discuss ways and means to keep operating the hot lunch room of the Flint Hill school. They decided to put on a food drive January 6. Letters are beinf mailed to all patrons and friends of the school. The food will be collected Saturday, January 6 by members of the P.-T. A. For further information call Mrs. John S.
