Jenkins Hollow Colony
Growing
The new colony in Jenkins Hollow, three miles south of Sperryville, adjoining the National Park is growing into quite a family of newcomers to Rappahannock*county.
The following have bought property in that section recently:
Mr. and Mr. J. C. Carter, of Washington, D.C., Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar of Norfolk, Mr. and Mrs. Vaclav Racin of Washington, *D.C., 'Miss Mildred Holmes, Washington, D.C., Miss Doris Roberts and Miss Donna Roberts, Annandale, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hofer, Washington, D.C.
All of these are in the process of improving their property with such additions as hew drive-ins, water systems, electricity, log cabins, etc.
In addition to the above, two other new families have been added to the county recently through the purchase of property in and around Sperryville. They are Daniel Jacob, of Warrenton, who recently moved into his new farm property near Woodville, formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Parker; and Mrs. Marian Hubbard of Takoma Park, Md., who with her two sons will soon move into a modernized cabin off of the Lee Highway a mile west of Sperryville. ~T These sites were all made through the office of S.
