(e) As parents <we expect teachers to so behave as to commend the respect of their pupils; to create interest in the text and to develop in them a desire to learn. We feel that discipline, obedience and thoroughness are important elements in the school as well as in the home and should be the joint responsibility of both.
(b) We feel that the objectives of the schools are to educate boys and girls—to develop all their powers, .mental, physical and moral—and that the responsibilities of the home and school are interchangeable. Anything that aids or retards the development of a child is the joint responsibility of the home and school. We recommend closer association and more frequent conferences between the teachers and parents.
