Miss Kathleen Rowe, daughter of Captain Lionel Lewis Rowe, of Arlington, and Mrs. Thomas Buchanan Dugan, of Washington, D.C., and Daniel French Slaughter, Jr., son of Hon. and Mrs. 'D. French Slaughter, of Culpeper county, were married Saturday, January 27 at Christ Church in Georgetown, D.C., the Rev. John R. Anschutz officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her stepfather iCapt. Thomas Bucfyanan Dugan. The bride was gowned in ivory satin. Mrs. George L. Fleming, Of Lancaster, Pa., was her sister’s, matron of honor, and serving as her maid of honor was another sister, Miss Edythe Rayburn ' Rowe.-'- . I ’ '

A reception was held Immediately following the ceremony at the 1955 F, Street Club. After their wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Slaughter will make their home in Charlottesville, where Mr. Slaughter is attending law school.

Johnson of Woodville was named “Lady of * the Week” in a special radio program over WCVA, Culpeper, Sunday, --January 28. ~ :— » Mrs, -pahannock lady to bee .named on this program recently; Miss Annie Stephenson of Woodville and Mrs. . Louemma Anderson of Amissville being two others cited in this radio program. Each week the program reads a .letter nominating some lady as “Lady of the Week” because of her fine character and fine influence in her community.
