Slid for a steer at the Louisville show. The steer, purchased by enneto from the Brown-Forman Experimental Farm. Prospect, Ky.. for $160, brought a total of $8,600 to his owner when he tipped the scales at 1,076 pounds. , U The champion, a roan steer, was sired by Creiffvechter Beacon, the nationally known imported Shorthorn bull, and was out of Maxwaltoa Beauty 2nd, member of a long famous line of dams in the Shorthorn breed. Garvey Haydon, now a sheep buyer, watched Kenneth win the same award ho had woa£6 years ago with another Shorthorn steer. Haydon’s steer sold for the then fabulous price of $1.26 pe; pound.
