Visors who are associates of the Local Board, and who also' serve without pay.
Under the provisions of federal law the Local Board registers those required by law to register ~ and classifies its registrants. When it receives from the State Director a call for armed forces physical examination, or a call for induction, the Local Board selects and orders to report the number of men required.
Classification is determined entirely upon the written evidence contained in the registrant's file, the determination being governed, by the provisions of law. Only the members of the Local Board have a vote in the proceedings of the board. . All evidence concerning the ~ case of a registrant should be submitted, in written form, to the Local Board, for the Local Board only has authority to determine classifications. If, after being clas. sified, a registrant is not satisfied with his classification, he may note an appeal to the Board of Appeal within ten days after he is notified of the classification. If the employer or a dependent of the regitrant has filed written evidence prior to the date of classification, each has the right of appeal within ten days after notification of classification.
An official of State Headquarters of Selective Service added, “The registrant always has the right of appeal to the Board of Appeal within ten days after he is notified of his classification. To note an appeal, notify the Local ^ Board either by letter or by a personal visit to the Local Board office.”

The buyers were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Columbia of Orange City, Florida. Mr. Columbia, a New York state cattle man, has recently sold his farm in New York and plans to raise cattle in this section. He and Mrs. Columbia are spending the winter in Florida until early March at which time they plan to take over their new property in Warren county. ’ "
Liberty Hall is one of the few remaining old homes of this type, being built of hand-made bricks from England about 1750. The improvements include modern bath, oil water heater, electricity, etc.
The sale was negotiated by S. E. Hening, broker of Sperryville.
