In the first game the Rappahannock .girls defeated-the Leesburg girls by the score of 39-35, thus enabling the Rappahannock giriji to maintain their unblemished record of 8 wins out of 8 starts in high 'school competition. Barbara Brown and Dot Cloud led the Rappahannock attack with 16 and IS' points respectively. Louise Cloud played an outstanding game at guard. With William Armentrout spearheading the attack the Rappahannock Panthers downed the Leesburg High School boys 38-33 ' in an overtime game. Held to 15 points for 3 quarters the Rappahannock boys finally found the basket for 14 points in the 4th quarter, enabling them to tie LeesBurg 29-29 at the end of the regulation game. Armentrout’s 3 field goals in the overtime period enabled the Panthers to arm their third league game in 5 starts. William Armentrout was the leading scorer of the game with 25 points. '
