Funeral services for John Lewis Jenkins, &2, native of Rappahannock county, who died Friday, February 2 at a hospital inSStaunton, where he had been a patient for several weeks, Were held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from Geest Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J. L. Clements officiated. The Rev. R. M. Myer and Charles Jenkins rendered a duet with Charles Webb at the organ. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cooper Jenkins, of Rapidan; Mrs. Fred Jenkins, Slate Mills; two sons, John H. Jenkins, Etlan, and Hesse Jenkins, "froodville; one sister, Mrs. Luther Fincham, of Woodville; two brothers, Bennie Jenkins, of Woodville and Robert Jenkins, of Washington. 22 grandchildren and 34 great grand, children survive.
Active pallbearers were Oscar Jenkins, Rufus Jenkins, Thurman Jenkins, Billie Jenkins, Charles Fincham and Wade Jenkins. Granddaughters and grandsons of deceased served as honorary pallbearers.
FLINT HILL 4-H CLUB
The Flint Hill 4-H club opened its February meeting with Shelby Pullen leading us in some songs. We talked about our yearly pins. Miss Sollenberger will mail them to us along with* the cost. W« welcpmed a new member, Billy Smoot. The boys talked about our projects for the year. We also talked about poultry. The girls talked about cleaning house. Mr. Saville announced that six boys in , Rappahannock will be given 100 baby chicks. He gave some boys application blanks to fill out.
