Miss Mary Russell Reid has returned to her work in Washington, after a week in Lynchburg.
Little Miss Elizabeth Racer entertained a few of her friends Tuesday evening at a birthday party. Those present were Taylor Bishop, Elizabeth and John Adame, James Lillard, Mary Verner and Jean Manuel.
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Massie moved into their new bungalow on Blue Ridge Avenue last week. .

Miss Jessie Miller Jones entertained at dinner Monday evening. Her guests were Miss Virginia Jones, Miss Evelyn Gardner, Donald Mann, Lieut. Nathaniel Ward, William .Williams, and Lewis J. Turner.
During the storm last Saturday afternoon lightning struck two large trees in the yard of Mrs. F. R. Slaughter, also killing a pig in a pen some distance off.
