Funeral Services for Mrs. Ella Virginia Woodward, 80, widow of Silas K. Woodward of Rappahannock, were held from the Geest Funeral Chapel Wednesday, February 7 at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. A. Paul Thompson officiated. Interment was in aFirview cemetery at Culpeper.,
Mrs. Woodward died Monday, February 6, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law,~Mr. and Mrs. Hugh C. Woodward of Culpeper, where she had been making her home.
Mrs. Woodward, daughter of the late Henry Sisk and the late Mrs. Sarah Hawkins Sisk of Rappahannock, is survived by three son|, Hugh C. Woodard of Culpeper, Harry K. Woodard of Warrenton, and Garland W. Woodard of Culpeper, two nieces and two nephews;
Active pallbearers were James Carder,* Louis Breeden, Edward Jenkms, Eugene Jenkins, Eddie Gore and Vaughan Price. Honorary pallbearers were Maury Brown, Henry Brown, Clifton Weakley, -Willoe Jenkins, Lum Jenkins, Wade Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Sam Jenkins, A. R. Partlow, Johnny Woodard, Brownie 'Woodard, Arthur Woodard and others.
Work Is Completed On
New Transmission Line
Work is now completed on the big 33,000 volt Northern Virginia Power Company transmission line loop from Front Royal, to Luray to SperryviUe, VLginia.
The present installation affords a two-way source of electricity for N.V.P. customers of the area, assuring f more reliable and continuous power supply.
Working through mountainous -Virginia terrain, utility company crews from Winchester, Charles Town,W.Va., Madison and Luray cooperatedv in the final phase of the 33kv loop project.
The total cost of providing 33,000 volt loop service to customers in this territory is approximately a quarter of a million dollars. ,
As part of the big project, company crews constructed several miles of 33,000 volt line and revamped the old installation, consoverting it from 22 kv* to 33 kv. The revamping took in over 35 miles of line.
